| Harwood Design has made and continues to make a significant investment in the most sophisticated mechanical and computer technology available. Inside our modern facility, we utilize state-of-the-art 7-axis Swiss turning machines able to process complex parts complete from .060" to 1.000" in diameter. We also employ the most advanced 4-axis CNC Machine Centers, in addition to our full 3-axis CNC Milling Machines and CNC turning on our super-precision Hardinge Gang Tooling Machines. Our machine programmers and designers use AutoCad Release 14 and MasterCam. Whether your parts are made from stainless steels, titanium, aluminum, brass or machineable plastics with tolerances as little as .0001", our CNC department can handle them with ease.
Our talented staff of model makers use the finest precision tool makers lathes and milling machines complete with Accu-Rite digital readouts with resolutions to .00005" to meet all of your prototyping and tooling needs. Working closely with our machining departments, our Parts Cleaning/Finishing Department utilizes a 3-step hot parts cleaning process to insure medically clean quality parts. If your parts need to be brazed, welded, buffed to a high polish or glass beaded/oxided to a matte finish, our finishing department has the finest equipment available to them and expertise to meet your needs. If it is fully completed assemblies that you need, you can be assured that our assembly personnel are second to none at building complex assemblies using the latest techniques. |
